Located in Mapleton on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, and about 90 minutes drive from Brisbane CBD, Pencil Creek Cottages offer an easy escape from the congestion, noise and demands of urban city living. The privacy and tranquility of Pencil Creek Cottages offers you the opportunity to truly relax and unwind.

Nestled amongst nature, it is inspiring to be reminded of how vast, diverse, abundant and stunning our natural Australian landscape and wildlife is. The Sunshine Coast Hinterland gives you the opportunity to be in close proximity to our breath-taking natural environment.

Whilst so close to the natural wonders of the rain forest, we are also near a range of interesting and vibrant villages such as Montville, Maleny, Yandina, Eumundi, Kenilworth, Buderim, and many more. Noosa, having world-class attractions of fabulous beaches, restaurants and boutique shopping is only a 45 minute drive away. Property Layout

We have a main house with reception at the top of the property as you enter. The cottages are down small roads and are set apart from each other to ensure complete privacy.

All in all, the property covers approximately 12 acres and guests can access most parts. The terrain falls gently down to the creek.

The Creek

Pencil Creek is at the bottom of the property and has easy access. A visit down to the creek is recommended, perhaps to read a book or have a picnic.

Laundry

Whilst we do not provide a laundry service as such, we are more than happy for you to use our facilities by reception.

Walking or Hiking

Not too far away there are many wonderful hiking/walking trails. Mapleton Falls offers a scenic walk that is not too challenging, also there are a few trails closer to Mapleton centre that are worthy of investigation. Kondalilla Falls is worthy of a visit and a dip in the water on a hot day is tempting!
